Rose Quartz is a pink quartz. It is massive, meaning it grows as a solid, continuous structure without distinct, visible crystal points, rather than individual terminated crystals. That’s why most rose quartz is cut into tumbles, palm stones, spheres, towers, and carvings rather than natural points. The pink color in common rose quartz is caused by microscopic inclusions, which interfere with the growth of clean, well-terminated points. This results in beautiful color, but no visible crystal faces. Naturally formed rose quartz points are rare.
