This polished rhodochrosite mini tower features soft shades of rose, blush, and dusty pink with natural internal veining and cloudy crystalline textures visible throughout the stone. Cut into a four-sided point and polished to a smooth finish, this smaller tower highlights the layered translucency and delicate color zoning commonly found in rhodochrosite.
Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral that forms in hydrothermal veins and manganese-rich deposits. Its pink coloration comes from its manganese content, while white or cream banding may occur from associated calcite and other minerals during formation. While some rhodochrosite forms in dramatic stalactitic or heavily banded patterns, pieces like this display a softer, more translucent structure with natural internal fractures and mineral clouds that catch the light beautifully.
This piece should be handled with care, as rhodochrosite is a softer mineral.
