Freyja's Market is Now Mineral Chapel
Share
When I started Freyja’s Market, I imagined it as a small shop for crystals and magical objects — a place where people could find stones, altar tools, and little pieces of wonder.
Over time, though, the idea of the shop began to shift.
The more I worked with minerals, the more I felt that what I was really creating wasn’t just a store. It was a space centered around the quiet beauty of the natural world — a place for reflection, ritual, and reverence for the earth itself.
Freyja’s Market has always been meaningful to me, but the name also places the shop in a very specific category. It suggests a Norse pagan store, and while that inspiration was part of the beginning, the vision for the shop has grown beyond that.
The name Mineral Chapel began to feel right.
For me, the word chapel isn’t about organized religion. It’s about a small sacred space — somewhere quiet, intentional, and contemplative. A place where something ordinary becomes meaningful simply because of the attention we give it.
Minerals already carry that feeling for me.
They are pieces of the earth shaped over thousands or millions of years. Holding one can feel grounding, mysterious, and beautiful all at once. In many ways, they invite the same kind of quiet reverence that sacred spaces do.
Mineral Chapel reflects that feeling.
It represents a shift from a traditional crystal shop toward something that feels more like a place — somewhere dedicated to minerals, ritual, and the small moments of wonder that come from connecting with the natural world.
In fact, the shop now quite literally has a chapel.
In the backyard behind our home is a small shed that I’ve begun turning into The Mineral Chapel — the place where minerals are kept, studied, and where your orders are prepared and sent out into the world. Many of the videos on the YouTube channel will now be filmed there as well.
I'm excited to share the progress on the chapel over the next weeks and months. I've already begun changing our name on our social profiles and making the website edits. I'm filled with inspiration and movement right now, and I hope you'll take this journey with me.
Welcome to Mineral Chapel.
